. . . the crown prince of etrias . . . . . . joscelin william de valore . . . ___________________ ⚜ twenty five ⚜ single ⚜ charming ⚜ gambler ⚜ fighter ⚜ war hero ⚜ tactician ⚜ diplomat ⚜ ⚜ friends ⚜ family ⚜ lovers ⚜ enemies ⚜ Although not often spoken of in a good light, the Crown Prince of Etrias is a good man, at least when he isn't drowning within his habits of wine, gambling and women. When he's clear headed, and truly himself, Joscelin is a charming and intelligent man, but one who looks closely, and who truly knows him, may be able to see the scars that war has wrought upon him. Despite that, he has yet to open up to anyone, instead having chosen to hold everything within him, burying every emotion that he has as he finds comfort in pleasure.
He is fiercely protective of his family, especially his younger sisters and father, and although he does have love for his mother and brother, he was stung by his mother favoring her other children. As for his brother, he has suspicions that others will conspire against him, especially due to the path he has taken. Slowly he is beginning to awaken from it, sobering himself enough to take heed and do what he must to assure the throne is his.
Joscelin is a womanizer, shamelessly bedding women left and right, although typically discreet. Once upon a time ago, in a tale untold by him and any other, Joscelin had found himself fond and affectionate of a woman that was lost to him in war, due to decisions he had made. Since then, Joscelin has been careful about allowing himself to be too close to any women beyond physical intimacy, although that doesn't mean he wouldn't fall for anyone.

Would the prince like to have a friend?

He and Adelaide could have some sibling time at some point. She's kind and empathetic and would likely see past Joscelin's hard outer shell to what really makes him act like her does. Let me know if you'd like to do something ^^

Siegfried MauleselJoscelin could certainly use a friend. Since Siegfried is a knight of Ascalon, maybe Josc could be there and the two would have met at the palace? Then Josc would have asked him to join him for entertainment, wine and perhaps sparring? @adelaide I think he would adore Adelaide. I think the fact that she would understand him, and wouldn't press him, would make him open up to her somewhat. That and he would be affectionate toward her, perhaps gifting her with trinkets whenever he returns home from his travels to Ascalon or other countries. They definitely need some time together. Perhaps he has returned home from Ascalon and will call on her? Perhaps finding her somewhere?

That sounds fitting since Siegfried is one of the sons of the duke, I like the idea they could even go on adventures together Would you like to start the thread?

Yay!That's great Andre, thanks. Yeah, I think that would work perfectly and I love the idea of Adelaide having a protective older brother type-thing. I have an open post in the stables but you can start a new thread if you'd like, or I can - whatever floats your boat. I look forward to it!

my, my what a pretty face he has! so this here is aurelia. she's twenty-four, one of four daughters of the baron and a bit of a brat since she almost died several times as a child and was fiercely spoilt as a result. she's disconcertingly intelligent, stubborn, spirited, proud and passionate, and has no reservations in speaking out of turn. in short, she's pretty damn improper and a bit of a fail at being ladylike so her dad sent her away to tend to josc's sister, roza. so there's a potential for them to meet! also! though it is a pretty well kept secret currently, lia's been doing some training with the royal physician on the down low, so maybe if the prince became injured for whatever reason she could tend to him? gives her an excuse to touch his pretty body ahem. thoughts? @lia and josc I absolutely love your ideas! Perhaps the two have yet to meet. Joscelin could have just recently returned from Ascalon and has been settling back into Caer l'Aurore. He would have spent some time with his family, of course, but now would be taking time by himself. He could have gone out on a hunt and he could have taken injury from either a fall or even a wild boar that nearly got the better of him. Their first meeting could be when the alarm is sounded, and perhaps the physician that has been teaching her would be called on. Maybe the physician would entrust her to keep tending him afterward, seeing it almost as a test for her? He could fall into a fever so she will have to attend him at night even at some points maybe? We can figure it out. It would be very, very interesting, and I'm sure Joscelin would have no complaints when being tended by the beautiful Lia.

i like the idea of them not meeting yet! how long was he away for out of interest? it's be amusing - though perhaps a little cliche - if she didn't recognise him instantly. maybe because she's been locked away and kept from court by her father until now, and he's been away it could be possible though? but to do that maybe she could actually happen upon him outdoors when the accident occurs? she could take care of him, then when she thinks him to be better stabilised and not losing the same amount of blood, move him the next day back to the castle where everyone's all dfsdjhfdjh over their missing prince? orrr maybe she's yet to officially move to court and is planning to do so in a weeks time or whatever, and she could find him out near where she lives, take him back to her house and take care of him and it's not until he's conscious and lucid that they realise who he is? draaaaama. but yes, i definitely love all of it! <333 [/ul]

@lie & josc Ooh...I definitely like the idea of her finding him first. He could certainly have been hunting on his lonesome, just enjoying things by himself for a change instead of the usual where he would have been drinking, gambling, and carousing with others in Ascalon during his long stay. I think he would have been gone for a few months, perhaps even longer. So the likelihood of her ever having seen him in person is very slim to nonexistent until now. Perhaps she could come across him when she's out and about looking for something or picking herbs/flowers? He would already be feverish. Oh! And I also think he wouldn't be dressed like royalty? Just wearing simply riding leathers and having left all jewelry or items of significance behind perhaps. So she definitely wouldn't suspect anything. When he has come to finally he would be extremely grateful, especially of her, who I imagine he'd want to reward and spoil somewhat, lol. I'm very, very excited for this!
