The merchant district houses the wealthy citizens of Ascalon. It is the center for parties and non-nobility aspiring for a class change. It is close to the Great Square, where many of the residents conduct their business.

The Great Square, located near both the palace and the merchant district, is a place filled with shops and vendors selling their variety of wares. The cathedral is also located here.

The Palace is home to the duke who governs the city. There are extra rooms for guests and is filled with luxuries that many would kill for.

Though not as large as the Great Square, the harbor is a place of trade. The trade here is less regulated, but there are often more foreign merchants here.

Old town is the center for the working class: those too poor to live in the Merchant District, but with enough wealth to move out of the Rats Quarter. There are some homes on the river, but much of Old Town is located near the harbor and stretches to the southern end of the Great Square.

Rats Quarter is home to the many poor people of the city. It is a place that is best avoided. Any time of the day, it is easy to get lost in the vast reaches of the Quarter as it is the largest district in the city. At night, criminals roam the streets looking for their next victim.

The warehouse district is a strictly guarded area. Resources such as grain and lumber are stored here and, for a high price, space can be rented or purchased to store especially valuable wares.
