Despite her reserved nature, Giulietta knows exactly what she wants and she is rather perseverant, she never stops fighting until she has that which she seeks. Alike her father, she can be bold and courageous, she does not like playing with words and prefers to speak the truth and be sincere with others, although that has granted her a ‘bold’ and witty reputation, and she does not to it in order to hurt others, but simply dislikes faking her persona. Yet she has that graciousness about her of the Valore family, her mother ensured to imprint it in her heart, despite the many years she suffered her father’s death. Had it not been for the Valore family and her cousin Rosa, she would probably have never recovered from such a loss. Which is one of the reasons she loves Rosa like an elder sister, and will always protect her no matter what others may thing or say about her. She considers Rosa the joy and treasure of the kingdom.
Giulietta is too brave, for good or ill, and sometimes ventures into danger itself without considering the implications of such decisions and it had placed her between the sword’s edge and the cliff, although she had managed to escape with her life, it seemed to render her a certain mysterious air about her, and more prudence. Yet she is still much too young and has yet too much to learn, mayhap such inexperience and impulsiveness render her to constantly come across danger. However, she would never put those she loves in danger, at least not willingly. Despite being brave and fearing, as she likes to presume, “nothing”… this rose has its thorns and she greatly fears losing those she loves. Hence at times she would be unable to sleep at night, in fear that she might awake impotent and unable to defend her family, Rosa, the castle, or even those who call for her aid.
She is constantly active for this reason, and believes that actions could ensure the peace and wellbeing of the kingdom. That is another reason she is passionate about cartography and travelling, looking constantly for solutions and inner strength, she discovers the beauty of the wildlife and new ways to help her family and the people in the realm… or at least she tries to.

family. Father: Leandro di Verona [Diceased] Mother: Silvia de Valore
Giulietta di Verona was born in a small castle in the forest not to far from the castle of Caer l'Aurore where the Lords of the kingdom watch over the wellbeing of the land and its people. Her childhood was that of a happy child, nurtured by her mother’s wisdom and her father’s bravery and stubbornness, she never found comfort in a usual lady’s tasks such as indulged by the domestic sphere, always preferring to travel with her father to visit her family at the castle or simply learning his art of cartography alongside painting which her mother influenced, for she always thought that arts helped ease the soul and explain things words or thoughts could not. As her age developed, her beauty extended, which granted her to be compared to that of a scarlet rose, or a crystalline river. This joy lasted for thirteen years, although on her eights birthday her father returned from a long journey and brought along twin swords, a special gift for Giulietta, for he wished his legacy to go beyond words, and deeds. It was then when he began to teach her the art of weapon mastery and several fighting techniques, although he ensured she knew that fighting was only to be done for justice or to preserve life, he wanted her to be safe even when he was not around.
Once she reached thirteen springs her father decided it was time for her to be more involved in a world more fit for a Lady, he wished to set her feet back on the ground and stop her from fantasising dreams and illusions that were not meant to be for a woman, especially one so young and tender as Giuliette. Although her parents explained what her place was in the world, and how their only goal was her happiness and protection, the beautiful adolescent could not see wellbeing in having such important decisions being made for her, and at such tender age she loathed being taken away from her family and friends. She had always lived in the confinements of this kingdom and being taken from it, even if just for a mile, torn her heart completely. As such, upon the day when it was officially announced, her engagement to be, she attempted to escape with Coraggio and hide, travel on and leave the land she once called her home.
It was then when she came across bandits. Her father and some guards in the castle reached her in time. They fought well, but were strongly outnumbered. The guard took Giulietta back to the castle the moment her father was slain and she cried bitterly embracing her father’s cold body. The guard had promised to ensure her safety and so, as they returned to the castle, while the bandits planned their return and in greater numbers, Giuliette and the guard took her father’s body for a proper burial and in the middle of the night they travelled with an escort and her mother, Lady Silvia, in search for shelter in the Caer l'Aurore. Being sister of the Queen, and upon the grievous story, they were taken into the castle and they lived up till now alongside their de Valore family. Giulietta then experienced several years of guilt and grief especially when she realised that her father had been betrayed and murdered by a close friend, and the whole bandit situation had been part of the plan... but soon her strengthening relationship with Rosa, the beautiful Princess of the castle, helped Giulietta recover form such dark experience and begin to enjoy life again. And a new promise opened up to her and she embraced it… |
[/blockquote] e x t r a s . weapons. Giulietta mastered the art of wielding twin blades form an early age, this being her father’s fear of bandits and raids about the kingdom, and knowing he would not always be there to protect his daughter, he gave her for her birthday a set of beautifully carved and light twin swords slightly curved at the edges, which she carries along to this day.
”What's wrong, what’s wrong now? Too many, too many problems; don't know where she belongs, where she belongs… She wants to go home, but nobody's home that's where she lies, broken inside with no place to go, no place to go, to dry her eyes… broken inside.” Avril Lavigne
It was a cold and rainy afternoon yet for Enide this was no longer what it used to be. In fact she lost the notion of time and space the moment she left her house in a hurry, with little belongings and enough food supplies to last for a bit, yet economizing and obviously not eating as much as she normally would. Concerning her family heirloom she only managed to take hold of the twin swords she was to inherit the moment she married, for she wanted to remember her beloved father everyday and considered it a good idea to carry them along in case anyone thought her a silly and defenceless woman.
She obviously could not wield the swords yet, she still had to learn, but you could fool anyone by the way you held the swords right? And they didn’t have to know a kitchen knife had been the closest she had ever been to a weapon of war and self-defence.
She travelled for a long time; she did not carry a sand clock with herself so she obviously lost the count of the count of the days and nights she ventured further and further away from home. But that was the whole point, to be as far away as possible and with as little rest. She didn’t want them to find her, no, they couldn’t find her, everything would be lost if they did. Though she was also growing depressive by such a long and lonesome journey, she missed her beloved parents, her sister even more.
Looking up at the sky she smiled for a moment, the first smile in days… or was it months? Dyrn, her silver falcon was flying nearby, scouting the land and guiding her yet she did not know where she was heading off to, she honestly did not know or did not care so long as it was someplace safe where she could rest.
But then what would she do? She had lost it all didn’t she? She had surely even lost her nobility, no she didn’t, but no one would believe her if she stated she was a noble… but then again that would help those wretched nobles from Powys, it was best if she hid, if she pretended to be a lost maid looking for a castle where she could serve the high Lord and his Queen, yes, that looked like the best option for her.
Feeling like she could no longer take it she slowly got off her horse, feeling great pain on her legs and arms and then she realized that her hands were hurt, a bit red, sore and with small bleeding blisters, she sighed and then sat on a damp log, it was raining cats and dogs, yet she shivered of hunger, thirst, weakness, cold, wetness… she was just so fed up of travelling like this.
“Oh father, if ever will you forgive your reckless child…” she whispered as she silently wept for she had hidden her feelings for so many years, and now, now that she had taken the abrupt decision and travelled and encountered so many dangers, now she could peacefully cry on her own, in the company of Dyrn and her tired horse. Silently wept and hope her tears take al the pain away, but they ever do.
The pain in her body grew and the hunger forced her to lean her back against the strong and rough tree feeling her spent and wretched clothes which were now more like rags, grant her no protection against the cold and moody weather. She placed her arms around her body and watched as her horse with great affection sat alongside her to grant her its warmth. She leaned close to her loyal friend and then shivered lightly, “Oh Byrn, what are we doing here? And where exactly is here?” Her horsed seemed to be as lost as Enide.
Dyrn perched on that tree and squealed silently. At least she wasn’t that alone. Slowly, ever so slowly she drifted into sleep... a deep sleep she had not had ever since she left her homeland.
